Charged Renyi negativity of massless free bosons

Hui-Huang Chen

Summary: This paper investigates the computation of charged moments of the reduced density matrix of two disjoint intervals in the 1+1 dimensional free compactified boson conformal field theory. By studying the four-point function of the fluxed twist fields, the exact scaling function of this four-point function is obtained, and its decompactification limit is discussed. The analytic formula is tested against exact numerical computation, showing perfect agreement.

Entanglement of magnon excitations in spin chains

Jiaju Zhang et al.

Summary: We study the entanglement content of magnon excited states in integrable spin chains and classify it in the scaling limit. We find that when the number of excited magnons is small compared to the system size, the entanglement content can be decomposed into the sum of entanglement of particular excited states in free fermionic or bosonic theories. We also conjecture a classification of the entanglement content of translational invariant free fermionic and bosonic Hamiltonians based on the entanglement content of fermionic and bosonic chains with the number operator as the Hamiltonian.

Dynamics of charge-imbalance-resolved entanglement negativity after a quench in a free-fermion model

Gilles Parez et al.

Summary: The discussion focuses on the impact of global internal symmetry on entanglement properties in quantum many-body systems, and examines the non-equilibrium state of the system through the study of dynamics of charge-imbalance entanglement and charged Renyi logarithmic negativities. The research findings suggest that under specific conditions, the entanglement exhibits equipartition behavior.

Charged moments in W3 higher spin holography

Suting Zhao et al.

Summary: In this paper, we study the charged moments in SL(3, M) higher spin holography and compare them with the dual two-dimensional conformal field theory with W-3 symmetry. For the vacuum state and a single entangling interval, we find that the W-3 algebra of the conformal field theory induces an entanglement W-3 algebra acting on the quantum state in the entangling interval. By computing the corresponding connected correlation functions of the modular charge operator up to quartic order in the chemical potential, we evaluate the logarithm of the charged moments perturbatively. Our result matches known results obtained from the charged topological black hole picture in SL(3, M) higher spin gravity.

Entanglement of the 3-state Potts model via form factor bootstrap: total and symmetry resolved entropies

Luca Capizzi et al.

Summary: In this paper, the form factor bootstrap approach is applied to branch point twist fields in the q-state Potts model for q <= 3. The model is an integrable interacting quantum field theory with an internal discrete Z(3) symmetry for q = 3, making it an ideal starting point for investigating symmetry resolved entanglement entropies. Furthermore, the standard Renyi and entanglement entropies can also be accessed through the bootstrap program for q <= 3. Form factor solutions are presented for both the standard branch point twist field with q <= 3 and the composite branch point twist field with q = 3, with the solutions carefully checked via the Delta-sum rule. The leading finite-size corrections to the entanglement entropy and entanglement equipartition for a single interval in the ground state are computed using the analytical predictions.

Branch point twist field form factors in the sine-Gordon model II: Composite twist fields and symmetry resolved entanglement

David Horvath et al.

Summary: In this paper, we continue our study of entanglement measures in the sine-Gordon model. We focus on the symmetry resolved entanglement and develop its associated twist field description. We solve the form factor equations for various examples in the breather sector and show that the leading contribution to the symmetry resolved entanglement is independent of the symmetry sector.

Symmetry-resolved dynamical purification in synthetic quantum matter

Vittorio Vitale et al.

Summary: A study shows that symmetry-resolved information spreading is inhibited by the competition of coherent and incoherent dynamics in the presence of continuous symmetries and under ubiquitous experimental conditions. The entropy decreases as a function of time in certain quantum number sectors, indicating dynamical purification. Dynamical purification bridges between two distinct short and intermediate time regimes, characterized by log-volume and log-area entropy laws.

Boundary effects on symmetry resolved entanglement

Riccarda Bonsignori et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the symmetry resolved entanglement entropies in one-dimensional systems with boundaries, providing general results for conformal invariant theories. Exact formulas for charged and symmetry resolved entropies are derived based on spectra of Toeplitz+Hankel matrices. The saddle-point approximation introduces algebraic corrections to the scaling particularly severe in systems with boundaries.

Summary: A new area law associated with the correlator of OPE blocks in higher dimensional conformal field theories is presented, showing similar behavior to black hole entropy or geometric entanglement entropy. The leading term is proportional to the area of the entanglement surface, with a logarithmic subleading term with degree q. UV cutoff independent coefficients are extracted and various properties of the coefficients are discussed.

Finite-size corrections in critical symmetry-resolved entanglement

Benoit Estienne et al.

Summary: Symmetry-resolved entanglement entropies are a refinement of the usual notion of entanglement entropy of a subsystem in the presence of a conserved quantity. It was shown that for critical 1d quantum systems, these quantities generally obey entropy equipartition in the scaling limit, independent of the symmetry sector. Finite-size corrections to this phenomenon were examined, with the nature of the symmetry group playing a crucial role in the decay rate of the corrections.

Symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy in Wess-Zumino-Witten models

Pasquale Calabrese et al.

Summary: Through a thorough analysis of Wess-Zumino-Witten models, we find that in theories with a non-abelian symmetry, the Renyi entanglement entropy is equally distributed among different sectors at leading order, with a leading term breaking this equipartition depending only on the dimension of the representation. Additionally, a log log L contribution exhibits a universal prefactor equal to half the dimension of the Lie group.

Symmetry resolved relative entropies and distances in conformal field theory

Luca Capizzi et al.

Summary: A systematic approach is developed to compute subsystem trace distances and relative entropies for excited states in a 1+1 dimensional conformal field theory with an internal U(1) symmetry. Analytic expressions for charged moments corresponding to both relative entropies and distances are provided for general integer n. It is found that relative entropies and distances are the same for all symmetry sectors, exhibiting entanglement equipartition, similar to entropies. OPE expansion of composite twist fields is exploited to provide general results for small subsystems compared to the total system.

Symmetry-resolved entanglement detection using partial transpose moments

Antoine Neven et al.

Summary: We present a set of experimentally accessible conditions for detecting entanglement in mixed states, involving comparing moments of the partially transposed density operator up to a certain order, and find that the union of all moment inequalities can reproduce the Peres-Horodecki criterion. Our studies show that the first four conditions are already reliable in detecting mixed state entanglement in various quantum architectures, and exploiting symmetries can further enhance detection capabilities. We also demonstrate how to estimate moment inequalities based on local random measurements of single state copies and derive statistically sound confidence intervals as the number of measurements increases. Our analysis includes the experimentally relevant situation of drifting sources, i.e. non-identical, but independent, state copies.

Corrections to universal Renyi entropy in quasiparticle excited states of quantum chains

Jiaju Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the energy eigenstate Renyi entropy in generic bipartition scenarios in fermionic, bosonic, and spin-1/2 XY chains. The Renyi entropy takes a universal form when the theory gap is large or when all the momenta of the excited quasiparticles are large, independent of specific model and subsystem connectedness. Analytical calculations reveal additional contributions to the universal Renyi entropy in various models, which become significant when the momentum differences of the excited quasiparticles are small. The Renyi entropy derived in the extremely gapped limit remains valid in slightly gapped and critical chains as long as the momenta of the excited quasiparticles are large.

Symmetry-resolved entanglement in AdS3/CFT2 coupled to U(1) Chern-Simons theory

Suting Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, we explore the symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy in the context of AdS(3)/CFT2 coupled to U(1) Chern-Simons theory. By relating the generating function for the charged moments to the amount of charge in the entangling subregion, we derive that the symmetry-resolved entanglement entropy is determined by the length of the Ryu-Takayanagi geodesic and the Chern-Simons level k. The results are confirmed by calculations in the dual conformal field theory utilizing the u(1)(k) Kac-Moody symmetry.

U(1) symmetry resolved entanglement in free 1+1 dimensional field theories via form factor bootstrap

David X. Horvath et al.

Summary: In this study, the form factor bootstrap approach is extended to integrable field theories with U(1) symmetry to derive matrix elements of composite branch-point twist fields associated with symmetry resolved entanglement entropies. The exact and complete solution for the bootstrap equations is presented for the free massive Dirac and complex boson theories, including vacuum expectation values and form factors involving any type and arbitrarily number of particles. The novel form factors of the U(1) composite branch-point twist fields allow for the re-derivation of earlier results showing entanglement equipartition for an interval in the ground state of the two models.

Quasiparticle dynamics of symmetry-resolved entanglement after a quench: Examples of conformal field theories and free fermions

Gilles Parez et al.

Summary: The time evolution of entanglement entropy is crucial for understanding the structure of nonequilibrium quantum states, often described by moving quasiparticles spreading entanglement. Studies using examples from conformal field theories and free fermion chains suggest that the quasiparticle picture can be adapted to understand how entanglement splits in systems with internal local symmetry. Physically relevant effects, such as delay time for onset of charged entropies and effective equipartition, can be easily observed in atomic experiments.
