Survival in Patients With Suspected Myocardial Infarction With Nonobstructive Coronary Arteries: A Comprehensive Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis From the MINOCA Global Collaboration

Sivabaskari Pasupathy et al.

Summary: This study systematically reviewed the 12-month all-cause mortality of patients with MINOCA and found that MINOCA patients had a lower mortality rate compared to MI-CAD patients, but there was a statistically non-significant trend towards worse outcomes compared to patients without a known history of MI.

Cardiac Troponin Thresholds and Kinetics to Differentiate Myocardial Injury and Myocardial Infarction

Ryan Wereski et al.

Summary: The study found that cardiac troponin concentrations at presentation are insufficient to distinguish type 1 myocardial infarction from other causes of myocardial injury or infarction. The change in troponin concentration plays a more important role in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction than the absolute troponin value.

Summary: The study found no specific inflammatory pattern in acute MINOCA compared to MI-CAD, but CRP levels were independently and moderately associated with adverse outcomes.
