Study of Saponin Components after Biotransformation of Dioscorea nipponica by Endophytic Fungi C39

Nannan Huang et al.

Summary: This study conducted solid fermentation of Dioscorea nipponica using endophytic fungi C39 and found that it could effectively transform the saponin components, leading to a significant increase in diosgenin concentration. Furthermore, 11 new metabolites were identified during the biotransformation process of D. nipponica, and the transformation pathways were inferred based on the variation trend of saponins.
