Transient time-delay focusing of shock waves in thin liquids

Ulisses J. Gutierrez-Hernandez et al.

Summary: In this work, a Fresnel-lens-inspired method is proposed and demonstrated for focusing multiple laser-induced shock waves through time-delay superposition at arbitrary locations. The method has been successfully demonstrated experimentally, showing effectiveness under specific geometric conditions and good agreement with simulation results.

Numerical research of water jet characteristics in underwater explosion based on compressible multicomponent flows

Jun Yu et al.

Summary: The study proposes an important compressible multicomponent flow model based on interface compression and density correction treatment and briefly introduces its discrete method. Research shows that under conditions of underwater explosion, the impact of explosion bubbles on surrounding structures is very complex.

Dynamic mechanical interaction between injection liquid and human tissue simulant induced by needle-free injection of a highly focused microjet

Yuta Miyazaki et al.

Summary: This study investigates the fluid-tissue interaction of needle-free injection through evaluating the dynamics of the induced cavity in body-tissue simulant and the resulting mechanical stress field. The research found that a focused microjet generates low-intensity shear stress, while a non-focused microjet exerts high-intensity compressive stress on the tissue simulant.
