Accelerated 2.5-D inversion of airborne transient electromagnetic data using reduced 3-D meshing

Summary: Airborne systems collecting transient electromagnetic data can quickly gather large amounts of data, but in complex subsurface areas, 2-D or 3-D inversions should be used to avoid introducing artefacts. The 2.5-D inversion, combining 3-D forward modeling with a 2-D model grid, can accurately recover the conductivity values and shape of the true model.
