Materials Engineering for Atmospheric Water Harvesting: Progress and Perspectives

Fluorinated porous organic polymers for efficient recovery perfluorinated electronic specialty gas from exhaust gas of plasma etching

Platinum-Mediated Reversible Cross-linking/Decross-linking of Polyacetylenes Substituted with Phosphine Ligands: Catalytic Activity for Hydrosilylation

Summary: Polymeric metal complexes were synthesized and polymerized from borane compounds with different ligands. The BH3 groups were removed from the formed polymers, resulting in polyacetylenes with -PPh2 ligands. These polymers were further coordinated with platinum to form polymeric metal complexes, which exhibited catalytic activity in the hydrosilylation reaction.

Dimethoxypillar[5]arene knitted porous polymers for efficient removal of organic micropollutants from water

Summary: This study successfully obtained cost-effective porous polymers by using dimethoxypillar[5]arene (P[5]) as a universal knitting crosslinker and demonstrated their excellent adsorption performance. The P[5]-TPB knitted polymer showed superior adsorption kinetics and capacity. The mechanism studies revealed the fundamental roles of host-guest and hydrophobic interactions. This work paves the way for the synthesis of cost-effective advanced porous polymers with host-guest property.

An imidazole functionalized porous organic polymer for the highly efficient extraction of uranium from aqueous solutions

Summary: In this study, a novel imidazole functionalized porous organic polymer adsorbent P(DVB-VIM) was developed by solvothermal polymerization. The adsorbent exhibited high adsorption capacity and selectivity for uranium in aqueous solution. It also showed recyclability and the high adsorption efficiency was attributed to the high content of accessible imidazole ligands. The experimental results and theoretical simulations confirmed the role of N atom in imidazole in uranium coordination.

Tunable poly(aryleneethynylene) networks prepared by emulsion templating for visible-light-driven photocatalysis
