Degradation mechanism and kinetics of carbendazim using Achromobacter sp. strain GB61

Geeta Bhandari et al.

Summary: This study isolated and characterized a carbendazim-degrading Achromobacter sp. strain GB61 from contaminated agricultural fields. The optimized biodegradation of carbendazim by GB61 showed promising results, suggesting its potential for large-scale bioremediation of carbendazim contaminated environments.

Role of cytochrome P450 genes of Trichoderma atroviride T23 on the resistance and degradation of dichlorvos

Jianan Sun et al.

Summary: This study cloned thirty-nine cytochrome P450 genes from the T. atroviride T23 genome, with 21 of them being involved in xenobiotic degradation. The quantitative expression of these genes showed different patterns in the presence of dichlorvos at varying concentrations. Specifically, the deletion of TaCyp548-2 reduced the concentration of 2,2-dichloroethanol, indicating its role in the degradation process.

Modeling and simulation of atrazine biodegradation in bacteria and its effect in other living systems

Pankaj Bhatt et al.

Summary: Atrazine is a widely used herbicide in agriculture, but its increased environmental concentration can have toxic effects on non-target species. This study investigated the ability of bacteria to biodegrade atrazine and examined its impact on environmental systems. A model was constructed to analyze the biochemistry and physiology of atrazine in different cellular networks. Topological analysis confirmed the nodes and edges involved in atrazine degradation. The results showed overall biomagnification of atrazine in different environmental systems.
