This study found that perceiving IQOS as fashionable and as an e-cigarette substitute were positively associated with HTP use and intentions to use. Conversely, perceiving IQOS as a cigarette substitute was negatively associated with HTP use and intentions. Continued monitoring of perceptions and behaviors is necessary to understand patterns and reasons for HTP use.
