It argues for the recognition of both state and nonstate actors in addressing mental illness and related human rights issues. The article emphasizes that simply having mental health legislation is insufficient if it does not acknowledge the religious dimensions of the individuals affected. The article recommends harmonizing religious perspectives with modern projects, such as human rights, to better support mental health initiatives.
