Predicting the potential global distribution of Sapindus mukorossi under climate change based on MaxEnt modelling

Yongxiang Li et al.

Summary: The study used the MaxEnt model to predict the suitable habitats of S. mukorossi and analyze the changes in its habitats under climate change from prehistory to the future. The results indicated that the suitable habitats of this tree species are likely to migrate to higher latitudes in response to future climate change.

The Current and Future Potential Geographical Distribution and Evolution Process of Catalpa bungei in China

Shengqi Jian et al.

Summary: This study investigates the relationship between C. bungei and climate change, predicts its potential distribution, and analyzes the dominant environmental factors. The results indicate that under climate change conditions, the habitat area of C. bungei is expected to increase, with a trend towards degradation in the south and better suitability in the north.

The impact of climate change on the distribution of rare and endangered tree Firmiana kwangsiensis using the Maxent modeling

Xiaoxuan Gao et al.

Summary: Anthropogenic climate change has led to habitat loss and fragmentation of wildlife. This study modeled the potential distribution of an endangered plant species, Firmiana kwangsiensis, and found that precipitation and temperature variables limited its suitable habitats. The existing protected areas are insufficient, highlighting the need for alternative conservation mechanisms.

The effects of climate change scenarios on Tilia ssp. in Turkey

Ugur Canturk et al.

Summary: Global climate change will significantly impact plant species distribution, particularly Tilia species. Modeling future climate change scenarios, it is projected that all three Tilia species will face significant reduction in suitable habitats due to climate change, requiring human intervention to facilitate migration mechanisms.
