STAT3 and SPI1, may lead to the immune system dysregulation and heterotopic ossification in ankylosing spondylitis

Tuo Liang et al.

Summary: This study aimed to identify biomarkers for diagnosis and reveal immune microenvironment changes in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). The results indicate that STAT3 and SPI1 may be key cytokine receptors involved in disease progression in AS, with upregulated NKT cells and downregulated Th1 cells in AS patients.

Naringin promotes osteogenesis and ameliorates osteoporosis development by targeting JAK2/STAT3 signalling

Wang Wang et al.

Summary: Naringin promotes bone mesenchymal stem cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation, suppresses JAK2/STAT3 pathway activation, alleviates bone loss, and improves abnormal bone metabolism in postmenopausal osteoporosis rats, thus ameliorating osteoporosis development.

Genetic Scores of eNOS, ACE and VEGFA Genes Are Predictive of Endothelial Dysfunction Associated Osteoporosis in Postmenopausal Women

Puneetpal Singh et al.

Summary: This study examined the involvement of eNOS, ACE, and VEGFA genes in the risk of endothelial dysfunction-associated osteoporosis in postmenopausal women in Punjab, India. Three susceptibility haplotypes were identified within these genes, with significant impacts on osteoporosis risk, particularly the GATA gene. Models including these genetic factors showed good predictive ability for osteoporosis.

Clinical Implementation of Biologics and Small Molecules in the Treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Pim Aarts et al.

Summary: Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic autoimmune skin disease characterized by inflammatory nodules and abscesses due to the upregulation of various immune cells and pro-inflammatory cytokines. While adalimumab is currently the only approved drug for HS, other biologics and small molecules targeting different inflammatory pathways are being researched and utilized.

Melatonin restores osteoporosis-impaired osteogenic potential of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and alleviates bone loss through the HGF/PTEN/Wnt/β-catenin axis

Jun Zhang et al.

Summary: The study revealed that melatonin could enhance osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs and prevent bone loss through the HGF/PTEN/Wnt/β-catenin axis.
