Knowledge, Attitudes, and Common Practices of Livestock and Poultry Veterinary Practitioners Regarding the AMU and AMR in Bangladesh

Md. Abul Kalam et al.

Summary: The study found that veterinarians are influenced by the economic condition of farmers and drug instructions when selecting antimicrobials, with most veterinarians having correct knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding antimicrobial use and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Factors such as age, education level, years of experience, gender, and previous training on AMU and AMR were identified as key influencers in the veterinarians' KAP levels. Adjusted logistic regression analysis showed a positive association between respondents' age, current workplace, and previous training on AMU and AMR with increased KAP.
