Non-invasively accuracy enhanced blood glucose sensor using shallow dense neural networks with NIR monitoring and medical features

Chavis Srichan et al.

Summary: This study reports a non-invasive and accurate method for continuous blood glucose monitoring using a multiple photonic band near-infrared sensor. The model achieved high accuracy and precision for diabetes classification, as well as real-time blood glucose monitoring with minimal error. The proposed model is computationally cheaper and less complex compared to previous works.

Physiological reconstruction of blood glucose level using CGMS-signals only

Tomas Koutny

Summary: Patients with diabetes often need to monitor their blood glucose levels regularly. However, the process of drawing blood samples can be painful and uncomfortable. Researchers have proposed a physiological model that calculates blood glucose levels based on measurements of interstitial fluid glucose levels using a sensor implanted in the subcutaneous tissue. This method can prolong the lifespan of the sensor and reduce discomfort for the patient, thereby improving their quality of life.

Sampling of fluid through skin with magnetohydrodynamics for noninvasive glucose monitoring

Tuuli A. Hakala et al.

Summary: This report introduces the use of Lorentz force and magnetohydrodynamics for noninvasively extracting dermal interstitial fluid. By using porcine skin as an ex-vivo model, the study demonstrates that the extraction rate of magnetohydrodynamics is superior to that of reverse iontophoresis.
