Fabrication of a Novel Fibrous Mat Based on Gliadin/Ethylcellulose Incorporated with Triamcinolone for Treatment of Oral Ulcers

Mahdieh Alipour et al.

Summary: In this study, Triamcinolone was integrated into Gliadin/Ethylcellulose fibrous mats and their properties and effects were evaluated. The results showed that these fibrous mats had a uniform structure, improved mechanical strength and thermal stability compared to Gliadin/Ethylcellulose fibrous mats. They also exhibited good biocompatibility and anti-inflammatory and antioxidative effects on human gingival fibroblasts. The Triamcinolone/Gliadin/Ethylcellulose fibrous mats could be a practical material for the treatment of oral inflammatory ulcers.

MTA-Enriched Polymeric Scaffolds Enhanced the Expression of Angiogenic Markers in Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells

Mahdieh Alipour et al.

Summary: The study successfully synthesized MTA-based scaffolds for regenerative endodontic procedures. The adhesion and proliferation of hDPSCs significantly increased on these scaffolds. The results also indicated that PCL/CS/MTA scaffolds could induce the angiogenesis process.

Influence of Curcumin Nanocrystals on the Early Osteogenic Differentiation and Proliferation of Dental Pulp Stem Cells

Mohammad Samiei et al.

Summary: This study aimed to test the biocompatibility and induction of early osteogenic differentiation by curcumin nanocrystals in human dental pulp stem cells. The results showed that the prepared curcumin nanocrystals were non-toxic to dental pulp cells in most concentrations and promoted osteogenic differentiation. Therefore, curcumin nanocrystals have the potential to be used in regenerative therapy protocols.

Shared Genetic and Epigenetic Mechanisms between the Osteogenic Differentiation of Dental Pulp Stem Cells and Bone Marrow Stem Cells

Sebastian Gaus et al.

Summary: The study identified shared genetic and epigenetic mechanisms between the osteogenic differentiation of dental pulp stem cells (DPSC) and bone marrow stem cells (BMSC). Through analysis of miRNA expression datasets, 16 dysregulated DEmiRNAs were found to be overlapped in the DPSC and BMSC osteodifferentiation process. Several signaling pathways, transcription factors, and small molecule drugs were identified as common regulators of both DPSC and BMSC osteodifferentiation.

Mahdieh Alipour et al.

Summary: The study aimed to synthesize and evaluate a curcumin-based reparative endodontic material with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as the ability to induce mineralization in human dental pulp stem cells. The CUR-based scaffolds showed antibacterial effects, inhibited inflammatory markers, and promoted mineralization in hDPSCs, suggesting their potential for healing and repairing the injured dentin-pulp complex.
