Monte Carlo Algorithms for the Extracting of Electrical Capacitance

Andrei Kuznetsov et al.

Summary: New Monte Carlo algorithms are proposed for extracting mutual capacitances in systems of conductors embedded in inhomogeneous isotropic dielectrics. The algorithms construct unbiased and low-biased estimators for capacitances on trajectories of Random Walk on Spheres or Random Walk on Hemispheres. Results show that the algorithms' accuracy is limited by the statistical error of estimators and do not require a large amount of storage space.
