Numerical research on adverse effect of muzzle flow formed by muzzle brake considering secondary combustion

Peng-Fei Li et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of a muzzle brake on muzzle hazard phenomena through simulation, analyzing the correlation of chemical reactions with muzzle flow field characteristics. The novel structure of muzzle flow caused by the muzzle brake is presented, and the secondary combustion phenomenon is explored using a chemical reaction kinetic model. Detailed analysis of blast waves interaction from the muzzle brake and mechanism of muzzle flash formation are provided, offering reference for future studies on suppressing muzzle flash.

Regularization, Bayesian Inference, and Machine Learning Methods for Inverse Problems

Ali Mohammad-Djafari

Summary: Classical methods for inverse problems are based on regularization theory, with Bayesian approach providing more flexibility. Machine learning methods, such as neural networks, can help obtain approximate practical solutions to inverse problems.

On the treatment of lens optical center uncertainty in simultaneous reconstruction of flame temperature and soot volume fraction distributions by a CCD camera

Jie Li et al.

Summary: The uncertainty of the camera lens optical center has a minor impact on the reconstruction accuracy of key flame parameters, with measurement error playing a crucial role in accuracy and an increase in ray number improving accuracy. The conclusion can be helpful for practical reconstruction processes.

SIMULATION OF NONSTATIONARY TURBULENT FLOWS IN DEVICES FOR REDUCING THE NOISE LEVEL OF HIGH-PRESSURE GAS MEDIA MOVING WITH A HIGH VELOCITY

K. N. Volkov et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the simulation of thermodynamic and gasdynamic processes in devices for reducing the noise level of a shot from a gun, focusing on the formation of large vortices in the turbulent flow of powder gases in a silencer. The qualitative and quantitative investigations into the initiation, development, and damping of shock waves in the powder gas flow after firing a shot from a signal gun are presented in the results.

Learning regularization parameters of inverse problems via deep neural networks

Babak Maboudi Afkham et al.

Summary: In this work, a new approach using deep neural networks (DNN) to obtain regularization parameters for solving inverse problems is described. The use of DNNs results in regularization parameters that are tailored to specific features of newly observed data, leading to faster and better predictions compared to existing methods.
