Lactobacillus crispatus M247 oral administration: Is it really an effective strategy in the management of papillomavirus-infected women?

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate whether long term administration of oral Lactobacillus crispatus could restore eubiosis in women with HPV infections and achieve viral clearance. The results showed that patients receiving the long term oral probiotic had a higher likelihood of resolving HPV-related cytological anomalies compared to the control group. However, there was no significant difference in the percentage of HPV-negative patients between the two groups.
