Effect of Different Laser Groove Texture Collation Frequency on Tribological Properties of 0Cr17Ni7Al Stainless Steel

Liguang Yang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the tribological properties of stainless steel surfaces textured by nanosecond and femtosecond lasers at different collision frequencies, indicating that laser textures exhibit excellent anti-friction characteristics and further research is needed to explore the impact of collision frequency on the friction-reducing effect.

The wear mechanism of mill beaters for coal grinding made-up from high manganese cast steel

Michal Bembenek et al.

Summary: This study determines the cause and effect relationship of wear on the lining (beater) of a coal beater mill. The type and condition of the material used for the mill element are assessed. The wear mechanism of the lining is analyzed, particularly in the case of excessive wear of the Hadfield steel beater. Chemical composition, macro and microscopic examinations, and hardness tests are conducted to identify the cause of unsatisfactory wear resistance. The study proposes a method to test the material's ability to deformation hardening and presents the role of manganese cementite mesh in structure destruction.

Friction Behavior of a Textured Surface against Several Materials under Dry and Lubricated Conditions

Linqing Bai et al.

Summary: This study investigates the frictional behavior of a textured surface against various materials, showing that the performance is influenced by texture parameters and the friction pair materials. Different surface textures, such as circular dimples and grooves, play a positive role in improving friction and wear performance under specific operating conditions for certain friction pairs, while no improvement is seen for others. The results provide insight for enhancing bearing element performance in complex interacting systems.

Janusz Krawczyk et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the impact of abrasive impact erosion on deep drawing steels, finding that erosive impact may lead to significant grain refinement of microstructure and material phase changes. The research expands knowledge on the mechanisms during sandblasting and their effects on the properties and wear behavior of deep drawing steels.
