Heat transfer optimization of Marangoni convective flow of nanofluid over an infinite disk with Stefan blowing and slip effects using Taguchi method

Puneet Rana et al.

Summary: This article optimizes the heat and mass transfer characteristics of Marangoni convection in a nanoliquid flowing on an infinite disk with Stefan blowing and activation energy using the Taguchi method. The combined effects of frictional heating, Joule heating, and the binary chemical reaction on Marangoni convection are also examined. The impact of operational parameters on the heat and mass transfer rate is analyzed, and the optimal combination of parameters for maximum heat transfer rate is estimated. The results show that the Marangoni number has the highest contribution to the improvement of the rate of heat transport.

Entropy generation optimization of unsteady radiative hybrid nanofluid flow over a slippery spinning disk

Nilankush Acharya et al.

Summary: This analysis investigates the entropy generation of hybrid nanofluidic transport over an unsteady spinning disk. The study considers the magnetic influence, velocity slips, and thermal radiative effects in the flow. The results show that increasing the magnetic field value increases the entropy generation, while velocity slip, radiation, and nanoparticle concentration reduce it. The entropy production of the hybrid nanofluid is lower compared to the usual nanofluid. The magnetic parameter reduces the Bejan number, while the slip factor and nanoparticle concentration amplify its effects.

Summary: This research assumes the thermo-physical characteristics of viscous fluid on a heated rotating disk. The modified Newtonian fluid model is used to calculate the mean flow profiles under the viscosity effect near the heated rotating disk. The behavior with modified activation enthalpy and radiation effects is determined through heat phenomena, while the mass transfer process is investigated using thermophoretic, chemical reaction, and activation energy.

Numerical simulation of heat and mass transfer in magnetic nanofluid flow by a rotating disk with variable fluid properties

K. Sharma et al.

Summary: The study of fluid flow over a rotating disk is of great significance in various industries and scientific fields. This investigation focuses on the ferrohydrodynamic flow of magnetic nanofluid caused by a rotating disk, taking into account temperature-dependent thermal conductivity and geothermal viscosity. The rotation of the disk is found to significantly enhance the radial movement of flow, while other parameters such as variable viscosity, magnetic field parameter, and Reynolds number also have an impact on the flow. The findings of this study provide valuable insights into the heat transfer phenomenon and fill a gap in the existing literature.

Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model for nanofluid flow over a curved stretching sheet: An application of Stefan blowing

Rangaswamy Naveen Kumar et al.

Summary: This study investigates the thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects in nanofluid flow over a curved stretching sheet (CSS), and considers the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux and Stefan blowing (SB) conditions for studying heat and mass transport characteristics. The coupled partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations using suitable similarity variables and numerically solved using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg method. The effects of the involved parameters on the flow, mass, and heat fields are discussed using suitable graphs.

Impacts of Stefan blowing and mass convention on flow of Maxwell nanofluid of variable thermal conductivity about a rotating disk

F. Mabood et al.

Summary: This study investigates the incompressible hydromagnetic flow of Maxwell nanofluid driven by a stretchable rotating disk. By utilizing the Buongiorno model and Cattaneo-Christov double-diffusive theory, as well as temperature dependent thermal conductivity, the constitutive equations are established. The governing equations are influenced by Stefan blowing and mass convection effects, with numerical results indicating trends such as decreased radial curves with increasing Deborah number and temperature field decline due to larger thermal relaxation time parameters.
