The article provides a detailed description of the features used in the experimental setup capable of producing intermetallic compound Nb3Ge coatings on a long copper tape. The structure of the formed coatings has been studied and the critical transition temperature has been determined. The results show the stability of the proposed technology in relation to harmful factors such as the insufficient purity of the feedstock and presence of oil vapor in the vacuum.
Modern experimental facilities require new types of superconducting materials. The intermetallic compound with the A15 Nb3Ge structure is known as the most perspective material for large superconducting magnets.The article provides a detailed description of the features used in the experimental setup capable of producing intermetallide Nb3Ge in the form of coatings on a long copper tape.
