Friction-increasing mechanism of contact pair using different surface treatment processes

Ke Ning et al.

Summary: This study investigated the friction-increasing mechanism of the contact pair between the hub and main shaft of offshore wind turbines. By using a sensitivity algorithm, the impact of static friction coefficient on the load-carrying capacity of wind turbines was accurately calculated, and a comprehensive static friction coefficient prediction model was established to quantify different friction-increasing factors with high accuracy.

Three-dimensional modeling and analysis of fractal characteristics of rupture source combined acoustic emission and fractal theory

Zilong Zhou et al.

Summary: This study focuses on deep mining exploration and the sustainable use of enormous data through the acoustic emission (AE) system. It applies fractal theory to analyze the non-linear and disordered information in the AE system, and constructs a three-dimensional analysis model. The experimental data and numerical simulation verify the effectiveness of the model, providing theoretical support and technical conditions for judgment and analysis of rock mass failure in mines.

Electroless copper deposition and interface characteristics of ionic electroactive polymer

Liang Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, a cheap copper electrode IPMC was prepared by chemical deposition and its surface and cross section morphology, roughness, and porosity were analyzed. The interface profile was simulated using the WM function and the adhesion force of the interface was calculated, showing the positive impact of the copper layer on the performance of IPMC.

Effect of different prestretching index and preloading on actuation behaviors of dielectric elastomer actuator

Hong Wang et al.

Summary: This study determined the prestretching indexes of dielectric elastomers through measuring tensile properties and discussed the actuation displacement and output force of the conical dielectric elastomer actuator with different prestretching index and preloading conditions. The study proposed three indexes to calculate the strain energy density of the actuator and found that a large prestretching ratio could cause instability in the dielectric elastomers. The Gent model was identified as better reflecting the nonlinear deformation behavior of the actuator.

Performance analysis of IPMC electrode based on the densest packing principle

Liang Yang et al.

Summary: By analyzing the microstructure and modeling of IPMC electrodes, combined with experimental verification, the effects of packing density, coincidence ratio, electrode thickness, and particle radius on resistance and capacitance were discussed. By effectively controlling these parameters, the electrical properties of IPMC electrodes can be designed and the potential application range of IPMC can be expanded.
