Long-Term Health-Related Quality of Life After Harrington Instrumentation and Fusion for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis A Minimum 40-Year Follow-up

Summary: This study evaluated the long-term consequences of posterior spinal instrumentation and fusion (PSIF) in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis patients. The results showed that patients with a lower instrumented vertebra at L4 or below had a higher rate of undergoing additional surgical procedures compared to those with L3 or above. Patients who underwent additional surgery had lower health-related quality of life.
