Chuanfeng Wang et al.

Summary: A GO/PVDF tight hollow fiber membrane (HFM) was developed via one-step direct spinning process for fractionation of dyes and salts in textile wastewater. The optimized HFM showed small pore radius, high pure water flux, strong negative charge, excellent rejection for dyes, and low salts rejection. Additionally, the membrane exhibited good hydrophilicity, antifouling property, and stability, making it significant for effective treatment of textile wastewater.

Low-pressure loose GO composite membrane intercalated by CNT for effective dye/salt separation

Lili Huang et al.

Summary: Low-pressure loose nanofiltration membranes were fabricated by intercalating CNTs into GO laminates supported by CA ultrafiltration substrates, which loosened the GO film and enlarged interlayer spacing. The membranes exhibited optimal separation performance in textile wastewater treatment, with high water permeability and almost complete rejection of dyes, while also showing low rejections to salts under low transmembrane pressure. This work presents a feasible approach for designing GO-based membranes with improved dye/salt separation performance.
