Differentiation of adipose tissue-derived stem cells towards vascular smooth muscle cells on modified poly(L-lactide) foils

Martina Travnickova et al.

Summary: Our research aimed to study the behavior of adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) and vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) on various modified poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) foils. The differentiation of ADSCs into VSMCs was induced by a specific differentiation medium, resulting in significant differences in cell growth among the samples. VSMCs exhibited the most stable adhesion and monolayer formation on plasma-treated PLLA and the PS control.
