Power Hardware-In-the-Loop Approach for Autonomous Power Generation System Analysis

Szymon Racewicz et al.

Summary: The article presents a Power Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL) dynamic model of a synchronous generator for autonomous power generation system analysis. The model, which is simulated using a power inverter, allows for the design and testing of the system under conditions close to real operating conditions. Experimental research validates the consistency of the model with the actual generator.

A Complex Vibration Analysis of a Drive System Equipped with an Innovative Prototype of a Flexible Torsion Clutch as an Element of Pre-Implementation Testing

Andrzej N. Wieczorek et al.

Summary: This paper presents the importance of testing the prototype of new machines, especially in the mining industry, under laboratory conditions. It introduces advanced methods for analyzing the vibrations of a drive system equipped with an innovative prototype of a flexible torsion clutch. The comprehensive method for analyzing vibration signals in various dimensions of signal analysis is presented. The results of comparing the flexible and locked clutch emphasize the differences in their functioning and the possibility of monitoring these differences through the observation of residual processes.

Manipulating Frictional Performance of Wet Clutch Engagement through Material Properties and Operating Conditions

Siyoul Jang

Summary: This study investigates the frictional characteristics and lubrication mechanisms of wet clutch engagement to improve anti-shudder performance. The friction behaviors between the friction pad and steel plate and the hydrodynamic lubrication are analyzed to achieve a positive mu-V friction coefficient. Computational simulations are performed to obtain the positive mu-V friction characteristics of the friction pad.

Multiple solutions and transient chaos in a nonlinear flexible coupling model

Jerzy Margielewicz et al.

Summary: This paper explores the nonlinear dynamics of a flexible tyre coupling through computer modeling and simulation, focusing on identifying multiple solutions and determining the regions of chaotic clutch movement. The study uses a new diagram of solutions to illustrate coexisting solutions and their periodicity, based on fixed points of the Poincare section. Various methods are used to verify the identification of periodic solutions, including comparing the diagram to the Lyapunov exponent and bifurcation diagram.

Multidimensional Data Interpretation of Vibration Signals Registered in Different Locations for System Condition Monitoring of a Three-Stage Gear Transmission Operating under Difficult Conditions

Grzegorz Wojnar et al.

Summary: This study discusses and researches the original system condition monitoring of a three-stage transmission installed in an experimental scraper conveyor. By measuring the vibrations on the driving transmission housing in an idling scraper conveyor, the possibility of vibroacoustic diagnostics of the transmission under the impact of the conveyor chain was determined, along with the analysis of the dependence of diagnostic utility of the signal on the sensor mounting point.
