Direction Finding Using a Single Antenna With Blade Modulation

Kai Ren

Summary: A single top-hat antenna with blade modulation is proposed for direction finding. The antenna utilizes rotating blades to enhance radiation pattern diversity and estimate direction of arrival. The effectiveness is validated by investigating the correlation coefficients of radiation patterns with different blade rotation angles. The proposed method demonstrates high accuracy in azimuth direction.

Single-sensor localization of moving acoustic sources using diffusion kernels

Eran Zeitouni et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a supervised method for estimating the location and velocity of a moving acoustic source using a single microphone based on manifold learning. The algorithm is sensitive to variations in the speed of the sources and performs well in reverberant and noisy environments, but is sensitive to changes in environmental conditions.

Single-Antenna AoA Estimation with UWB Radios

Nour Smaoui et al.

Summary: Ultra-wideband (UWB) is increasingly important for indoor localization, where traditional methods are limited by interference. Angle of Arrival (AoA) is a promising solution for scalability and accuracy in concurrent transmission schemes.
