Achieving Superior Energy Storage Properties and Ultrafast Discharge Speed in Environment-Friendly Niobate-Based Glass Ceramics

Kaikai Chen et al.

Summary: Rare-earth doped NBBN-AS glass ceramics exhibit excellent energy storage properties, with a theoretical energy density of 22.48 J/cm(3) and a giant power density of 220 MW/cm(3), along with an ultrafast discharge speed of 11 ns. Numerical simulation reveals the intrinsic mechanism for increased breakdown strength due to rare-earth doping in this study.
