Treatment of As(III)-Laden Contaminated Water Using Iron-Coated Carbon Fiber

Selective electrodialysis for simultaneous but separate phosphate and ammonium recovery

Simultaneous recovery of nitrogen and phosphorus from biogas slurry by Fe-modified biochar

Summary: In this study, Fe modified biochar (Fe-BC) was prepared for nitrogen and phosphorus recovery from biogas slurry, showing the highest removal efficiencies at a pyrolysis temperature of 690°C. The Fe element mainly existed in forms of Fe0 and Fe3O4 in Fe-BC, and the adsorption process was mainly controlled by chemical processes according to the Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum adsorption capacities of Fe-BC for N and P were significantly increased compared to unmodified biochar.
