The Effect of Anti-Scl-70 Antibody Determination Method on Its Predictive Significance for Interstitial Lung Disease Progression in Systemic Sclerosis

Bochra Jandali et al.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the predictive significance of anti-Scl-70 antibodies, determined by three different methods, for decline in forced vital capacity (FVC) within the first year of follow-up in patients with systemic sclerosis-related interstitial lung disease (ILD). The results showed that anti-Scl-70 antibodies determined by passive immunodiffusion (ID) predicted a faster rate of FVC decline.

Tocilizumab Prevents Progression of Early Systemic Sclerosis-Associated Interstitial Lung Disease

David Roofeh et al.

Summary: Tocilizumab has been shown to preserve lung function in early SSc, regardless of the extent of radiographically evident lung involvement, with a significant stabilization of FVC% over 48 weeks.

Outcome measurement instrument selection for lung physiology in systemic sclerosis associated interstitial lung disease: A systematic review using the OMERACT filter 2.1 process

David Roofeh et al.

Summary: The OMERACT organization focuses on improving health care outcomes for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases. The CTD-ILD Working Group within OMERACT aims to identify outcome measures for studies of patients with CTD-ILD. The study summarized evidence from various sources to determine the use of lung physiology measures in SSc-ILD studies.
