Summary: A novel core-shell structured Fe3O4@GO-CoPc magnetic catalyst with excellent photo-Fenton catalytic activity was successfully prepared. The effective transfer of photo-generated electrons between CoPc and Fe3O4 by GO was found to be the key factor contributing to the high catalytic activity. The analysis of active species further confirmed the reaction mechanism.

Summary: Fe3O4 nanoparticles were used as a three-dimensional electrode in an electro-oxidation system with peroxydisulfate to enhance tetracycline degradation. Through characterization and contrast experiments, EOFe3O4 -PDS showed excellent TC degradation capability and stability. The enhancement of PDS decomposition and H2O2 production, as well as the involvement of sulfate and hydroxyl radicals in antibiotic degradation, were demonstrated.

Observation of extraordinarily large magnetization in CoFe2O4/ZnFe2O4 bilayers

Summary: The study reports an extraordinarily large magnetization value in an annealed CoFe2O4/ZnFe2O4 bilayer, reaching approximately 7200 G at 300 K and approximately 15000 G at 10 K. This value is the highest reported for any oxide spinel so far, close to metallic nickel, and current theories of magnetism in oxides cannot explain it.
