A Poultry Subclinical Necrotic Enteritis Disease Model Based on Natural Clostridium perfringens Uptake

Wanwei He et al.

Summary: Necrotic enteritis (NE) is an opportunistic infection in poultry caused by Clostridium perfringens. It is influenced by various environmental risk factors, and current research aims to enhance models by inducing subclinical infection through exposure to the barn environment.

Increased arginine, lysine, and methionine levels can improve the performance, gut integrity and immune status of turkeys but the effect is interactive and depends on challenge conditions

Pawel Konieczka et al.

Summary: Arginine, lysine, and methionine in the diet can improve turkeys' performance, immune response, and gut integrity. However, the influence of these amino acids on gut integrity may vary depending on the specific challenge conditions.

The effect of different dietary ratios of lysine, arginine and methionine on biochemical parameters and hormone secretion in turkeys

Katarzyna Ognik et al.

Summary: The study aimed to determine the effects of different proportions of Lys, Arg, and Met in diets with varying Arg content on protein, lipid, and carbohydrate metabolism, as well as hormone secretion in turkeys. Results showed that low Arg content in the diet led to increased total cholesterol levels, while higher Arg content increased HDL and creatinine concentration. Variations in Arg and Met levels did not affect neurotransmitter or glucose metabolism hormone secretion. Turkeys showed growth depression with low Met and Arg levels compared to recommended levels.

Increased Dietary Inclusion Levels of Lysine Are More Effective than Arginine in Supporting the Functional Status of the Gut in Growing Turkeys

Pawel Konieczka et al.

Summary: Differences in dietary recommendations for essential amino acids in turkey diets may impact feed cost and bird physiology. Further understanding of bird's amino acid needs is crucial for achieving high growth rates and sustainable production in the rapidly growing turkey sector.
