Assembling Ag/UiO-66-NH2 Composites for Photocatalytic Dye Degradation

Li-Li Zhang et al.

Summary: Water pollution is a major threat to our lives, and photocatalysts based on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) provide an efficient and eco-friendly method to clean various water pollutants. Combining metal nanoparticles (MNPs) with photoactive MOFs has been proven to enhance the photocatalytic performance. In this study, Ag/UiO-66-NH2 composites were easily assembled by two steps, and they exhibited enhanced photocatalytic performance for the degradation of RhB dye under UV-Visible light. The composites also showed good recycling stability. Thus, Ag/UiO-66-NH2 composites have great potential in practical water remediation applications.
