The influence of consumers' knowledge on their responses to genetically modified foods

Hyesun Hwang et al.

Summary: Consumers' knowledge level influences their attitudes and purchase intentions towards genetically modified foods. Consumers with higher levels of education and income are more likely to overestimate their knowledge, resulting in higher risk perception, lower benefit perception, and lower intention to purchase genetically modified foods, while consumers with lower education and higher income tend to underestimate their knowledge level.
