Tree growth decline as a response to projected climate change in the 21st century in Mediterranean mountain forests of Chile

Vladimir Matskovsky et al.

Summary: The study projected the growth of Nothofagus macrocarpa and Austrocedrus chilensis trees in the Mediterranean Forest of Central Chile for the next four decades. Results indicated that tree growth will be adversely affected by climate change starting from 2035, posing serious risks to the dynamics and survival of the forests in the region.
