Scale invariant FIMP miracle

Basabendu Barman et al.

Summary: In this study, the freeze-in production of vector dark matter in a classically scale invariant theory is examined, where the Standard Model is extended with an abelian U(1)(X) gauge symmetry. It is shown that it is possible to produce dark matter out-of-equilibrium in the early Universe, satisfying observed relic abundance constraints. Additionally, the model can be explored in direct search experiments and is testable in light dark sector searches.

Light dark matter through resonance scanning

Djuna Croon et al.

Summary: This article proposes a new out-of-equilibrium production mechanism for light dark matter called resonance scanning. If the mass of dark matter evolved in the early Universe, resonant production could have occurred for a wide range of light dark matter masses today. The study shows that the relic abundance of dark matter can be produced through the Higgs portal, consistent with current experimental constraints.

Directional detectability of dark matter with single phonon excitations: Target comparison

Ahmet Coskuner et al.

Summary: Single phonon excitations are sensitive probes for keV-GeV dark matter, with directional dependence and daily modulation in anisotropic target materials. Al2O3 (sapphire), CaWO4, and h-BN (hexagonal boron nitride) are highlighted as the best polar materials for recovering daily modulation signals.

Lower mass bounds on FIMP dark matter produced via freeze-in

Francesco D'Eramo et al.

Summary: In this study, different production mechanisms of FIMPs were considered, including decays and collisions. The FIMP phase space distribution and matter power spectrum were computed to investigate the suppression of cosmological structures, showing lower bounds on the FIMP mass. Additionally, constraints were relaxed in scenarios where FIMPs provide a sub-dominant dark matter component.

How warm are non-thermal relics? Lyman-α bounds on out-of-equilibrium dark matter

Guillermo Ballesteros et al.

Summary: This study investigates the power spectrum of Non-Cold Dark Matter produced in a state out of thermal equilibrium, considering various sources of dark matter production. A mapping procedure is proposed to translate the WDM Lyman-alpha mass bound to NCDM scenarios, providing bounds on several NCDM possibilities. The results have implications for specific examples of dark matter scenarios.

Exoplanets as Sub-GeV Dark Matter Detectors

Rebecca K. Leane et al.

Summary: Exoplanets are presented as new targets for discovering dark matter. Through estimating the sensitivity of upcoming infrared telescopes, actionable searches for discovering or excluding dark matter are found. Dark matter with masses above about an MeV can be probed with exoplanets, with scattering cross sections stronger than existing limits.
