The effect of vacancies on the magnetic and optical properties of monolayer alpha lead oxide (?-PbO): A density functional theory study

Erik Bhekti Yutomo et al.

Summary: In this study, the effects of vacancies on the properties of monolayer ??-PbO were investigated using DFT. The results showed that the monolayer ??-Pb0.94O exhibited half-metallic ferromagnetic behavior and stronger plasmonic state and optical dichroism, which are important for potential applications in nonlinear plasmonic devices.

Cu/graphene hybrid transparent conducting electrodes for organic photovoltaic devices

Ju Hwan Kang et al.

Summary: Cu/graphene hybrid films serve as both p-type and n-type transparent conducting electrodes in organic solar cells, with sheet resistance and work function being significantly improved by controlling the thickness of Cu. The films also exhibit wrinkle features and doubled RMS currents, while devices utilizing Cu/graphene electrodes show much higher power conversion efficiencies compared to those with pristine graphene electrodes.

Effect of the number of nitrogen dopants on the electronic and magnetic properties of graphitic and pyridinic N-doped graphene - a density-functional study

Erik Bhekti Yutomo et al.

Summary: The study found that different nitrogen-doped graphene configurations have different effects on electronic and magnetic properties, some leading to metallic properties and others producing bandgap structures, with an increase in the number of dopant atoms affecting the bandgap size and magnetic properties.
