Optimization of second harmonic generation in Au/Si core-shell nanoparticles

Summary: This study numerically investigated second harmonic generation and linear optical responses in core-shell nanoparticles comprising a gold core and silicon shell. The efficiency of the core-shell nanoparticles can be optimized by tuning the resonance wavelength via changing the shell thickness and then optimizing the efficiency by changing the core radius.
