An Automated Treatment Planning Framework for Spinal Radiation Therapy and Vertebral-Level Second Check

Tucker J. Netherton et al.

Summary: This study presents a fully automated clinical tool for treatment planning of the spine, which is efficient and effective across various CT scan types. The tool accurately labels and segments the vertebral bodies and detects any errors within the treatment regions. Radiation oncologists gave high scores to the performance of the tool, and the treatment planning time was short.

Phase III Trial Adding Vincristine-Topotecan-Cyclophosphamide to the Initial Treatment of Patients With Nonmetastatic Ewing Sarcoma: A Children's Oncology Group Report

Patrick J. Leavey et al.

Summary: The study aimed to test whether the addition of VTC to interval compressed chemotherapy improved survival outcomes for Ewing sarcoma patients. The results showed no difference in survival outcomes between the two groups, with age and primary site not affecting the EFS event risk, but age >= 18 years being associated with increased risk of death at 5 years.
