Evaluating Equity and Coverage in Mass Drug Administration for Soil-Transmitted Helminth Infections among School-Age Children in the Hard-to-Reach Setting of Southern Ethiopia

Mekuria Asnakew Asfaw et al.

Summary: The study found that in hard-to-reach areas of Southern Ethiopia, the MDA coverage for STH infections was only 27.5%. Factors associated with higher drug uptake included school enrollment and knowledge of the purpose of MDA, while factors associated with lower drug uptake included lack of information or needing to travel long distances to reach drug-distribution points.
