Blade Coating Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells with Vacuum-Assisted Nucleation Based on Bottom Quasi-2D Passivation

Xinwen Zhang et al.

Summary: A vacuum-assisted approach is developed to fabricate mirror-like, pinhole-free, highly crystalline, and uniform blade-coated perovskite films without using antisolvent and air knife. The effect of phenethylammonium iodide passivation at the top and bottom interfaces of a perovskite layer based on an FTO/NiOx/perovskite/C-60/BCP/Cu inverted p-i-n structure is systematically investigated. The encapsulated device, fabricated by blade coating under ambient conditions, retains 97% of its maximum efficiency after a 1000-hour photostability test.

Stable and efficient perovskite solar cells by discrete two-dimensional perovskites capped on the three-dimensional perovskites bilayer thin film

Luyao Zheng et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that the combination of three-dimensional and two-dimensional perovskites can create a bilayer structure that enables stable and efficient perovskite solar cells. The results show that discrete two-dimensional perovskite crystals on the surface of the three-dimensional perovskite film improve water resistance without sacrificing optoelectronic properties, resulting in over 23% power conversion efficiency and increased stability.

Sadeer M. Majeed et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates the use of KBr additive in CB anti-solvent engineering to enhance perovskite quality in triple-cation perovskite solar cells, leading to improved crystallinity, passivation of surface defects, suppressed nonradiative recombination, and facilitated charge extraction. Additionally, the hysteresis behavior in the perovskite layer was suppressed due to halide vacancies filling with K+ ions.
