Fiber-Optic Sagnac Interferometry for Gravity Gradient Measurements

Yanjun Chen et al.

Summary: This paper presents a design for gravity gradient measurements using Sagnac interferometry. A structure with two masses is used to convert gravity gradients into rotational motion, which is probed using Sagnac interferometry based on optical fibers. The systematic effects are analyzed theoretically and validated through static observations. With a record of 37 days, a noise level of 5 x 10(-12) rads(-2) Hz(-1/2) is achieved under room temperature conditions without vibration isolation or magnetic shielding. The corresponding contribution to gravity gradient measurement is estimated to be 1 x 10(-2) E Hz(-1/2).

Study on nonlinear error calibration of fiber optical gyroscope scale factor based on LSTM

Shuai Zhao et al.

Summary: The calibration accuracy of the inertial navigation system is crucial for its actual navigation performance. This paper presents a calibration experiment and proposes a nonlinear error compensation method based on LSTM, which effectively reduces the scale factor error and angle measurement error of the fiber optical gyroscope.
