Mechanical Properties of Tensile Cracking in Indium Tin Oxide Films on Polycarbonate Substrates

Summary: This paper investigates the fracture behavior and electrical-mechanical properties of transparent conductive oxide film on a polymer substrate. Experimental tests were conducted to analyze the electrical resistance changes, crack initiation, crack propagation, and crack density evolution of the film. The fracture toughness and interfacial shear strength were quantitatively determined using a formulated mechanics model.

An intrinsically flexible phase change film for wearable thermal managements

Summary: This study introduces an intrinsically flexible PCM film with solid-solid phase transition performance and exceptional mechanical flexibility, suitable for wearable thermal management. The PCM film displays adjustable phase transition enthalpy and temperature, long-term cycling stability up to 1000 cycles, along with remarkable shape tailorability and foldability. When integrated into wearable devices with a flexible graphene film as a thermal source, the flexible PCM film exhibits superior temperature control behaviors and excellent electro-thermal and photo-thermal energy conversion performance, showing great potential for next-generation flexible thermal management electronics.
