The association between vision impairment and cognitive outcomes in older adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: A quantitative synthesis of studies on the relationship between vision impairment (VI) and cognitive outcomes in older adults revealed a significantly increased risk of cognitive impairment and dementia associated with VI. Both subjective and objective measures of VI were found to be associated with cognitive outcomes.
