The accuracy of triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index for the screening of metabolic syndrome in adults: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Seyed Ali Nabipoorashra et al.

Summary: The relationship between the triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and metabolic syndrome (MetS) was investigated through a systematic review and meta-analysis. The results showed that there were differences in the TyG index between participants with and without MetS, and this difference varied based on different diagnostic criteria for MetS. Additionally, the TyG index demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity in screening for MetS.
