Solving vehicle routing problem with time windows using metaheuristic approaches

Zeynep Aydinalp et al.

Summary: This study discusses the vehicle routing problem faced by a pharmaceutical company in Turkey and proposes a model based on mixed-integer programming and metaheuristic methods to minimize the total route cost. The results show that metaheuristic algorithms are more efficient in solving large-scale datasets compared to exact algorithms.

Multiobjective capacitated green vehicle routing problem with fuzzy time-distances and demands split into bags

Pankaj Gupta et al.

Summary: Addressing real-life challenges requires proactive measures and steadfast research. In this study, a particular case of Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) with split deliveries and triangular fuzzy travel times was modelled to minimize fuel emissions. Fuzzy rule-based implication and an expected value model were utilized, and experiments on existing data, parameter tuning, and comparative analysis were conducted to validate the efficacy of the model.
