Reevaluation of the cosmic antideuteron flux from cosmic-ray interactions and from exotic sources

Laura SerkSnyte et al.

Summary: This study presents the most up-to-date calculation of antideuteron fluxes from cosmic-ray collisions with the interstellar medium and from exotic processes. The recently measured inelastic interaction cross section is included to account for the loss of antideuterons during propagation.

Dark Matter Annihilation Can Produce a Detectable Antihelium Flux through (Λ)over-barb Decays

Martin Wolfgang Winkler et al.

Summary: Recent observations by AMS-02 have detected cosmic-ray antihelium events, considered as evidence for new physics. The production of antihelium through the displaced-vertex decay of (Lambda) over bar (b)-baryons can significantly boost the dark matter induced antihelium flux.

Cosmic antihelium-3 nuclei sensitivity of the GAPS experiment

N. Saffold et al.

Summary: The General Antiparticle Spectrometer (GAPS) is designed for detecting low-energy cosmic antinuclei, such as antideuterons, antiprotons, and antihelium nuclei, with unprecedented sensitivity. By utilizing a novel detection technique based on exotic atoms, GAPS is able to identify these low-energy antinuclei more effectively than previous experiments. The experiment aims to detect or set upper limits on the cosmic antihelium nuclei flux in an energy range free of astrophysical background, opening a new window on rare cosmic physics.

Examination of coalescence as the origin of nuclei in hadronic collisions

Francesca Bellini et al.

Summary: The study of the origin of weakly bound nuclear clusters in hadronic collisions is important, and current research mainly focuses on nuclear coalescence and phenomenological statistical hadronization models. By theoretically deriving the coalescence-correlation relation and predicting nuclear cluster spectra from femtoscopic measurements, researchers found rough consistency between the relation and observed cluster spectra in experiments. Future experimental programs will rigorously test whether coalescence is the origin of nuclear clusters.
