Computable lower bounds on the entanglement cost of quantum channels

Ludovico Lami et al.

Summary: In this study, the definitions of tempered robustness and tempered negativity introduced by Lami and Regula (2023) are extended to point-to-point quantum channels. It establishes a lower bound for the asymptotic entanglement cost of any channel, regardless of its dimensionality. Additionally, this research provides a computable semidefinite program that outperforms previously known lower bounds, including those based on quantum relative entropy. The proof incorporates the lower semicontinuity of entanglement robustness of a channel in the weak*-operator topology on bounded linear maps between spaces of trace class operators.

Asymptotic State Transformations of Continuous Variable Resources

Giovanni Ferrari et al.

Summary: In this study, we examine asymptotic state transformations in continuous variable quantum resource theories. We prove that lower semicontinuity and strong superadditivity can be used to bound asymptotic transformation rates in these settings. We provide applications to optical nonclassicality, entanglement, and quantum thermodynamics resource theories. Our findings offer computable upper bounds for asymptotic transformation rates, including those achievable with linear optical elements.

Fundamental limitations on distillation of quantum channel resources

Bartosz Regula et al.

Summary: The authors establish universal limitations on the processing of both quantum states and channels, focusing on distillation tasks. They develop fundamental restrictions and comprehensive lower bounds for the error and overhead in distillation protocols, showing applications to magic state distillation and quantum channel capacities.
