The effect of the PVA hydrolysis degree on the electrical properties of organic resistive memories based on PVA plus CNT composites

B. Portillo-Rodriguez et al.

Summary: This work investigates the influence of the interaction between functionalized multiwall carbon nanotubes (f-CNTs) and a polymeric matrix on the electrical behavior of resistive memories. The findings suggest that the hydrolysis degree of the polymeric matrix plays a crucial role in the morphology, thickness, and current-voltage behavior of the PVA + f-CNT composites.

Switching characteristic of fabricated nonvolatile bipolar resistive switching memory (ReRAM) using PEDOT: PSS/GO

Alireza Moazzeni et al.

Summary: In this study, a bipolar resistive switching random access memory cell (ReRAM) was developed by blending PEDOT: PSS into Graphene Oxide (GO) with a 1:1 wt% ratio. The resistive switching mechanism in the PEDOT: PSS/GO memory is filamentary type, while GO and PEDOT: PSS samples exhibit significant asymmetric hysteresis curves. The ITO/PEDOT:PSS-GO/Al structure demonstrates good switching behavior with a high on/off current ratio, low set/reset voltage, and long retention time. The simple structure and low-cost fabrication make it suitable for future electronics and printed electronics applications.

Second-order associative memory circuit hardware implemented by the evolution from battery-like capacitance to resistive switching memory br

Guangdon Zhou et al.

Summary: This study introduces a memristor-based Pavlov associative memory circuit that realizes a simple conditioned reflex process and demonstrates the bionic characteristics of secondary conditioned reflex through redundant circuits. A FeOx-based memristor undergoes an evolution process from battery-like capacitance to resistive switching memory, which shares a similar biophysical mechanism with second-order conditioning. This work provides a novel approach to realizing an associative memory circuit with second-order conditioning at the hardware level.

Negative Photoconductance Effect: An Extension Function of the TiOx-Based Memristor

Guangdong Zhou et al.

Summary: The study revealed the impressive observation of negative photoconductance effect in the high resistance state of memristive devices, attributed to the excitation, migration, and compensation of oxygen vacancy at the GQDs/TiOx interface. The results unveil a new horizon for extending the functionality of memristors.

Switching the resistive memory behavior from binary to ternary logic via subtle polymer donor and molecular acceptor design

Saihu Pan et al.

Summary: The study investigated the resistive switching characteristics of emerging organic resistive switching memory (ORSM) devices, demonstrating concentration-dependent resistance switching by varying the blending concentration of OXD-7. Incorporating both OXD-7 and PBD into PVK donors resulted in ternary resistive memory characteristics with well-separated current ratios. The detailed analysis of electrical properties and intertrap charge transfer in D-A and D-A-A systems was performed to unveil the resistive switching mechanism of non-volatile memories.
