Band structure critical point energy in germanium-tin alloys with high tin contents

Summary: The dielectric functions of germanium-tin alloy thin-films were studied, showing a shift towards lower energy levels with increasing tin content. Results were reasonably consistent with deformation potential theory for alloys with less than 20% tin, but discrepancies were found for alloys with higher tin content.
