Electronic and Excitonic Processes in Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diodes

Panlong Yu et al.

Summary: A modified Langevin model is proposed to study the electronic and excitonic dynamic processes in quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). The study shows that charging a quantum dot with one electron first is more favorable for device performance enhancement, and sufficient electron injection is a prerequisite for high-performance QLEDs based on these type I quantum dots.

Unraveling the effect of shell thickness on charge injection in blue quantum-dot light-emitting diodes

Huimin Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of shell thickness on charge injection using blue CdxZn1-xSeyS1-y/ZnS core/shell quantum dots with various shell thicknesses. The research shows that thick shells suppress electron injection and lead to a more balanced charge injection into quantum dots, ultimately enhancing efficiency.

Synthesis of Colloidal Quantum Dots with an Ultranarrow Photoluminescence Peak

Lin Huang et al.

Summary: The study proposes localization of exciton wavefunctions away from the inorganic-organic interface to synthesize colloidal spheroidal quantum dots with ultranarrow photoluminescence peak width. By controlling the synthetic process of alloy QDs, regular and uniform CdxZn1-xSe and CdxZn1-xSe/ZnSe/ZnS core/shell QDs have been successfully achieved.

Evaluation of degradation behavior in quantum dot light-emitting diode with different hole transport materials via transient electroluminescence

Takahiro Doe et al.

Summary: The study found that the hole mobility of the hole transport layer material plays a crucial role in the lifetime of quantum dot light-emitting diodes. By increasing the hole mobility, the lifetime of QLED devices can be extended, and the degradation of luminance efficiency is correlated with the hole mobility.

Modelling charge transport and electro-optical characteristics of quantum dot light-emitting diodes

Sung-Min Jung et al.

Summary: Quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QD-LEDs) are competitive candidates for next-generation displays or lighting, with recent advances in the synthesis and tailoring procedures for achieving high quantum yield. A proposed charge transport model comprehensively describes the charge-carrier dynamics in QD-LEDs through computer simulations, showing excellent agreement with experimental results in terms of electro-optical characteristics. This computational method provides a useful means for designing and optimizing high-performance QD-LED devices.
